Email marketing is the process of sending
marketing and sales information using email messaging systems. In general, it
is getting harder to setup and manage effective email marketing
campaigns because of an increase in email messages people receive, increase
in use of SPAM filters, and growing distrust of the content of email
messages. To overcome these challenges, an email marketer must develop more
targeted campaigns and lists, create more effective email messages, and
use more effective media within email messages to develop interest and provide
credibility for the email message.
Email marketing systems generally combine advanced message broadcast systems along with tracking systems that can monitor the reception, opening, and response to email messages that have been sent. This allows an email marketer to constantly check the effectiveness of their promotional campaigns. This means that email marketing skill can be developed. It does not matter about experience or wisdom for a person or company to become successful in email marketing. It only matters if you can identify promotional options, track the response to your promotions, and use this information to create new more effective email marketing programs. Email marketing systems send standard or customized text or multimedia messages to people who are willing to accept them. Email regulations defined that email marketing recipients must have indicated they are willing to receive messages from the sender (Permission Marketing). Effective email marketing programs carefully select lists of recipients (Targeted Audiences) for specific types of communication (such as product or service offers). Email marketing has the capability of tracking and instant response methods such as click to respond ( Two-Way Marketing).
